For Branch Network roles and Halifax Estate Agency , if there are no suitable current vacancies, you can register your interest for a future vacancy with HBOS. Please go to http://www.hbosretailcareers.com, search the vacancies and select 'Register Interest in Future Vacancies' if there are none suitable.
How long does it take to apply on line?
About 20 minutes. And you don't have to apply all at once, you can do it in stages and save each section as you go along.
I applied to HBOS before. Can I reapply?
We have many different roles at HBOS and even if you have applied for one, there may be others you are interested in. So please do apply for any you are interested in. We do ask though that if you were not successful for one particular job after going through to interview, that you wait 6 months before re-applying for the same role.
What is the deadline for applications?

You can go back in and change any of the information in your application, using your 'Username' and 'Password'.
I have lost/forgotten my user name and/or password. What should I do?
Your username is the email address you used to log-on initially. You can request your password by clicking on 'Existing Candidate Log-on' from the homepage. Enter your Username and then click 'Forgotten Your Password' and 'Request'. If you have set a security question you will be asked for two random characters, click 'Submit' and your password will be emailed to you within a few minutes. If you do not receive this or are still experiencing problems you can call the HBOS Recruitment Team on 0845 607 2222.
My circumstances have changed. How do I remove myself from the application process?
You can remove your details by returning to your profile and selecting 'Delete'. You may also call the HBOS Recruitment Team on 0845 607 2222.
What should I do if I have a disability that may affect my performance at any stage of the recruitment process?
HBOS welcomes applications from disabled people and is a two-tick employer. Please let us know at application stage what adjustments you may need during the recruitment stage. We will then contact you to ensure these are put in place.

This will depend on the type of role you are applying for, for some it would be an advantage, for others you will have full training and support to get you up to speed.

Yes, we offer many part time roles which could easily fit around University or college commitments. Please search for a Part Time role near to your place of study.
I would like to work for you during the summer, do you offer placements?
Unfortunately due to the length of training that a new employee requires we need candidates to be able to commit to a role within the branch network for at least 12 months. We do offer some short term contracts (minimum 6 months) and these will be clearly indicated on the individual vacancy details.

This will depend on the role you have applied for. We will give you full details. Typically you will meet some of our colleagues, get an opportunity to discuss the role and do some job related exercises.
